The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting letters of interest from firms interested in leasing Hangar GA-02 (former Eclipse Aircraft and Silver Airways maintenance facility).  The facility includes approx. 45,000 s.f. of hangar space and 16,500 s.f. of office, shop and storage space.  The proposed, primary use must be for an aeronautical purpose requiring access by, storage of or servicing of airworthy aircraft.

The RFI will remain open until 5:00 p.m. on February 18, 2021.  Letters and supporting documents may be submitted via e-mail to Ms. Lynn Noffsinger, Contracts Administrator at lynn.noffsinger@flygainesville.com or delivered to the Authority’s Administrative Office, Gainesville Regional Airport, Attn: Lynn Noffsinger, 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Suite A, Gainesville, FL 32609.  Submissions received after Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. will not be considered.  Envelopes should be clearly marked RFI #21-002, “LOI Regarding Hangar Lease”. The official clock is located in the Authority’s Administrative Office.

The Letter of Interest should, at a minimum, address the following:

  • Name and address of the company and any business partners you wish to include.
  • The nature and scope of the Company’s existing business enterprises.
  • A summary of the nature of any work or business activities that would be completed in the hangar and the potential customers, public and or private. Include expected aircraft type(s).
  • The number of full-time and/or part-time workers that would be employed and any estimate of the average wage, if you wish to share it.
  • The desired lease term and any specific, high level/non-negotiable requirements regarding the lease arrangement.

The Authority will review all submissions to determine the viability of moving forward with a more detailed proposal or request for additional information. GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all submissions received in response to this Request for Interest or any previously received proposal regarding this opportunity, as determined to be in the best interest of GACRAA.
