The Gainesville Regional Airport is governed by the Gainesville Alachua County Regional Airport Authority.
Daily operations are conducted by a staff of approximately 30 full and part-time employees. The administrative staff is led by Chief Executive Officer Allan Penksa who has served in the position since 2007.
The airport leases space to a wide variety of tenants, including the airlines, car rental agencies, the Transportation Security Administration and other vendors who provide aviation and travel services. Including these tenants and general aviation businesses, the Gainesville Regional Airport provides jobs to about 400 employees.
