The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting sealed bids for the preparation and painting of a steel aircraft shade hangar at the Gainesville Regional Airport. The structure is approximately 17,500 square feet in area. The project includes proper removal/treatment of rust and preparation and painting of all structural steel members and framing.
Complete sets of bid documents including instructions to bidders, bid forms, drawings and specifications will be available via email beginning at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday , February 25, 2025. Bid documents will be provided in PDF format. The bid documents will not be provided in any other format. Bid documents may be obtained from:

A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the Gainesville Regional Airport, Passenger Terminal 3880 N.E. 39th Avenue, Board Room, Gainesville, FL 32609.
Questions concerning the RFB must be submitted in writing no later than Tuesday, March 17, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Questions should be emailed to: Lynn Noffsinger, lynn.noffsinger@flygainesville.com. No oral questions related to the content or the interpretation of the RFB will be accepted during tours or at any time during the RFB selection process.
Bids are due at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2025 and will be publicly opened at that time. The official clock is located in the Authority’s Administration Office. Bids received after this time will not be considered. Bids must be signed by an authorized official, enclosed in a sealed envelope or package clearly marked: “Project 25-003 Preparation and Painting of Aircraft Shade Hangar GA-24” and mailed or delivered to Gainesville Regional Airport, Attn: Chief Executive Officer, 3880 NE 39th Ave, Suite A, Gainesville, Florida, 32609. Bidder must submit one original bid package, clearly marked “original” and two copies.
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to participate. The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
GACRAA reserves the right to reject any or all bids received in response to this Request for Bids and to waive any irregularity or technicality in bids received as determined to be in the best interest of the Authority.
