The Gainesville-Alachua County Regional Airport Authority (GACRAA) is soliciting sealed bids for the \u201cCentral Energy Plant Replacement\u201d project.\u00a0 The work shall include the replacement of two air-cooled chillers, primary and secondary chilled water pumps, and modifications to the HVAC controls. The existing hot water heating system boiler shall be replaced with two high efficiency condensing boilers.\u00a0 The hot water distribution pumps will be replaced with variable speed pumps to match the increased capacity of the Boilers.<\/p>\n

Complete sets of bid documents will be available at noon on Monday, January 23, 2023.\u00a0 Bid documents will be provided ONLY in PDF format. Plan holders can order hard copy prints from the printing company of their choice.\u00a0 Bid documents may be obtained from:<\/p>\n

Last day to submit questions is Monday, February 13, 2023.<\/p>\n

Attendance is recommended since the project occurs in a secured area of the airport and a security escort is required.\u00a0 An escorted site visit will be conducted as part of the pre-bid meeting.\u00a0 Additional site visits will be arranged after the pre-bid meeting.<\/p>\n

Bids must be signed by an authorized official, enclosed is a sealed envelope clearly marked \u201cProject 23-003R Central Energy Plant Replacement\u201d and mailed or delivered to the Authority\u2019s Administrative Office, Gainesville Regional Airport, 3880 NE 39th<\/sup> Ave, Suite A, Gainesville, Florida, 32609, Attn: Chief Executive Officer. Bidders must submit one original bid package, clearly marked \u201cOriginal\u201d and three copies.<\/p>\n

Bids are due at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, and will be publicly opened at this time.\u00a0 Bids received after 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2023, will not be considered. The official clock is located in the Airport administrative office.<\/p>\n

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) firms are encouraged to participate.\u00a0 The contractor will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.<\/p>\n
